EAI CollaborateCom 2020
Collaborative Networking Technologies towards Future Networks
CollaborateNet
October 16-18, 2020
Shanghai, People’s Republic of China
SCOPE
With the increasing usage of numerous content-centric applications and services including Web news, live videos, video on demand, user-generated content sharing, etc, the Internet has evolved into a large-scale content sharing infrastructure. However, the address-driven TCP/IP architecture does not fit with the content-centric applications and services fundamentally.
For promoting the current Internet towards the content-centric future networks, the academia and industry have proposed plenty of collaborative networking technologies for content sharing in terms of architecture, naming, addressing, routing, forwarding, caching, NFV, network slicing, QoS, traffic analysis, etc. On the one hand, the new networking paradigms including ICN and SDN are utilized to resolve the problems relevant to content delivery and data transmission in the general scenarios such as IoT, satellite-aerial-terrestrial network, Ad hoc network, Cyber-Physical System (CPS), Time Sensitive Network (TSN), etc., and specific fields such as multimedia converged system, tactile Internet, Vehicular network (V2V/V2X), Network in Box (NIB), smart home, smart health, smart grid, smart agriculture, etc.; on the other hand, many ongoing and emerging collaborative networking technologies have been recommended to be adopted for 5G and beyond 5G mobile network. Specifically, the 5G community mainly focuses on the technologies which could increase connected devices, improve network bandwidth and reduce transmission latency, and meanwhile, the beyond 5G community begins to explore the technologies which could make future mobile networks have intelligent connectivity, deep connectivity, holographic connectivity and ubiquitous connectivity. Besides, there exist other collaborative technologies towards future networks at the aspect of cross-layer design, content security and privacy, network management and network intelligence, etc.
This workshop aims to facilitate all efforts for promoting the current network towards the content-centric future network using collaborative networking technologies. It could serve as a forum for researchers from academia and industry to exchange ideas, present new results, and provide prospective approaches towards future networks.
Topics of interest include but are not limited to
• Collaborative networking technology in IoT
• Collaborative networking technology in satellite-aerial-terrestrial network
• Collaborative networking technology in Ad hoc network
