Hello ICNRG,

IEEE Communications Magazine has just published our article on **Rethinking LoRa for the IoT: An Information-centric Approach** (Open Access).

This is summarizing the work of Peter Kietzmann and José Alamos on re-designing (and completely implementing) LoRaWAN using ICN and IEEE 802.15.4 DSME as a MAC layer. The system is using Reflexive Forwarding and demonstrates how one can provide delay-tolerant, information-centric communication with constrained IoT nodes over the Internet without middleboxes (except for LoRa gateways).
