This draft describes the use cases for BGP I2RS interface, and discusses the requirements for the BGP I2RS Yang module that come from these use cases. This draft will be presented at the IDR interim on 6/1/2015. The authors would appreciate any feedback on these use cases. Sue Hares, Keyur Patel, and Russ White -----Original Message----- From: internet-drafts@ietf.org [mailto:internet-drafts@ietf.org] Sent: Monday, June 01, 2015 1:48 AM To: Susan Hares; Susan Hares; Keyur Patel; Keyur Patel; Russ White; Russ White Subject: New Version Notification for draft-keyupate-idr-i2rs-bgp-usecases-00.txt A new version of I-D, draft-keyupate-idr-i2rs-bgp-usecases-00.txt has been successfully submitted by Susan Hares and posted to the IETF repository. Name: draft-keyupate-idr-i2rs-bgp-usecases Revision: 00 Title: Use Cases for an Interface to BGP Protocol Document date: 2015-05-31 Group: Individual Submission Pages: 21 URL: https://www.ietf.org/internet-drafts/draft-keyupate-idr-i2rs-bgp-usecases-00.txt Status: https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/draft-keyupate-idr-i2rs-bgp-usecases/ Htmlized: https://tools.ietf.org/html/draft-keyupate-idr-i2rs-bgp-usecases-00 Abstract: A network routing protocol like BGP is typically configured and analyzed through some form of Command Line Interface (CLI) or NETCONF. These interactions to control BGP and diagnose its operation encompass: configuration of protocol parameters, display of protocol data, setting of certain protocol state and debugging of the protocol. Interface to the Routing System's (I2RS) Programmatic interfaces provides an alternate way to control and diagnose the operation of the BGP protocol. I2RS may be used for the configuration, manipulation, analyzing or collecting the protocol data. This document describes set of use cases for which I2RS can be used for BGP protocol. It is intended to provide a base for the solution draft describing a set of interfaces to the BGP protocol. Please note that it may take a couple of minutes from the time of submission until the htmlized version and diff are available at tools.ietf.org. The IETF Secretariat
