A Revised Internet-Draft is available from the on-line Internet-Drafts directories. This draft is a work item of the Inter-Domain Routing Working Group of the IETF. Title : Operational Experience with the BGP-4 protocol Author(s) : P. Traina Filename : draft-ietf-idr-bgp4-op-experience-02.txt Pages : 9 Date : 05/14/1996 The purpose of this memo is to document how the requirements for advancing a routing protocol to Full Standard have been satisfied by Border Gateway Protocol version 4 (BGP-4). This report documents experience with BGP. It is the second of two reports on the BGP protocol. The remaining sections of this memo document how BGP satisfies General Requirements specified in Section 3.0, as well as the Requirements for Full Standard as specified in Section 6.0 of the "Internet Routing Protocol Standardization Criteria" document [1]. Please send comments to bgp@ans.net. Internet-Drafts are available by anonymous FTP. Login with the username "anonymous" and a password of your e-mail address. Send a message to: mailserv@ds.internic.net. In the body type: "FILE /internet-drafts/draft-ietf-idr-bgp4-op-experience-02.txt". NOTE: The mail server at ds.internic.net can return the document in MIME-encoded form by using the "mpack" utility. To use this feature, insert the command "ENCODING mime" before the "FILE" command. To decode the response(s), you will need "munpack" or a MIME-compliant mail reader. Different MIME-compliant mail readers exhibit different behavior, especially when dealing with "multipart" MIME messages (i.e., documents which have been split up into multiple messages), so check your local documentation on how to manipulate these messages. For questions, please mail to Internet-Drafts@cnri.reston.va.us. Below is the data which will enable a MIME compliant mail reader implementation to automatically retrieve the ASCII version of the Internet-Draft.
