The IESG has approved "More MODP Diffie-Hellman groups for IKE" <draft-ietf-ipsec-ike-modp-groups-05.txt> as a Proposed Standard. The IESG contact persons are Steve Bellovin and Jeff Schiller. Technical Summary This document defines new MODP groups for the IKE [RFC-2409] protocol. It documents the well know and used 1536 bit group 5, and also defines new 2048, 3072, 4096, 6144, and 8192 bit Diffie-Hellman groups. The selection of the primes for theses groups follows the criteria established by Richard Schroeppel as described in [RFC-2412]. Working Group Summary There was working group consensus on this document. Protocol Quality These documents were reviewed by Jeff Schiller.
