The IESG has approved the following document: - 'DNS Security Extensions (DNSSEC)' (draft-ietf-dnsop-dnssec-bcp-06.txt) as Best Current Practice This document is the product of the Domain Name System Operations Working Group. The IESG contact persons are Warren Kumari and Robert Wilton. A URL of this Internet Draft is: https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/draft-ietf-dnsop-dnssec-bcp/ Technical Summary This document describes DNSSEC (specified in RFC 4033, RFC 4034, RFC 4035 and others); one purpose is to introduce/collect all of the RFCs in one place to allow readers to understand the many aspects of DNSSEC (and more easily reference it!). Another purpose is to move DNSSEC to Best Current Practice status. Working Group Summary There was good consensus, with no major drama or controversy. Document Quality The document is of good quality, and very readable. There is no protocol or formal language. There are many implementations and deployment of DNSSEC, but they are not specific to, nor driven by the document. Personnel Tim Wicinski is DS Warren Kumari is RAD!!!!! (Yes, I did check the expiration date of this joke, and, no, it hasn't expired yet...)
