Last Call: draft-turner-encryptedkeypackagecontenttype-algs (Algorithms for Encrypted Key Package Content Type) to Proposed Standard

The IESG has received a request from an individual submitter to consider 
the following document:

- 'Algorithms for Encrypted Key Package Content Type '
   <draft-turner-encryptedkeypackagecontenttype-algs-01.txt> as a Proposed Standard
 
This specification has normative references to two Informational RFCs:
* RFC 3394 "Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) Key Wrap Algorithm", and
* RFC 5649 "Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) Key Wrap with Padding Algorithm"
These downrefs were also recently highlighted in IETF Last Calls for
draft-ietf-smime-cms-rsa-kem and draft-turner-asymmetrickeyformat-algs,
respectively.  Additional comments on whether these downrefs are appropriate
for standards track publications are requested.

The IESG plans to make a decision in the next few weeks, and solicits
final comments on this action.  Please send substantive comments to the
[e-mail] mailing lists by 2010-04-28. Exceptionally, 
comments may be sent to [e-mail] instead. In either case, please 
retain the beginning of the Subject line to allow automated sorting.
