The IESG has approved the following document: - 'Anycast-RP using PIM ' <draft-ietf-pim-anycast-rp-07.txt> as a Proposed Standard This document is the product of the Protocol Independent Multicast Working Group. The IESG contact persons are Bill Fenner and Alex Zinin. A URL of this Internet-Draft is: http://www.ietf.org/internet-drafts/draft-ietf-pim-anycast-rp-07.txt Technical Summary This document describes a method for using an arbitrary number of active Rendezvous Points (RPs) in a single PIM domain. RFC 3446 describes such a method using MSDP; this document's method simply uses existing PIM messages. Working Group Summary The working group came to consensus on this document. The document was updated for several topics brought up at WG Last Call. Protocol Quality Bill Fenner reviewed this spec for the IESG. There are two known implementations, described in http://www.ietf.org/IESG/Implementations/pim-anycast-rp-implementation-report.tx t _______________________________________________ IETF-Announce mailing list IETF-Announce@ietf.org https://www1.ietf.org/mailman/listinfo/ietf-announce
