On 12 July 2005 the IESG announced a last call based on a request from an individual submitter to consider the following document: - 'Guidelines and Registration Procedures for new URI Schemes ' <draft-hansen-2717bis-2718bis-uri-guidelines-05.txt> as a BCP. The last call was scheduled to end on 9 August 2005. Due to the overlap with IETF-63 and a request from the W3C to extend the last call to allow review by the W3C Technical Architecture Group (TAG), the last call has been extended until 31 August 2005. The IESG plans to make a decision in the next few weeks, and solicits final comments on this action.
