This document specifies the mapping of defect states between
Ethernet Attachment Circuits (ACs) and associated Ethernet
pseudowires (PWs) connected in accordance with the Pseudowire
Emulation Edge-to-Edge (PWE3) architecture to realize an
end-to-end emulated Ethernet service. It standardizes the
behavior of Provider Edges (PEs) with respect to
Ethernet PW and AC defects.

This document is a product of the Pseudowire Emulation Edge to Edge Working Group of the IETF.

This is now a Proposed Standard.

STANDARDS TRACK: This document specifies an Internet standards track
protocol for the Internet community, and requests discussion and suggestions
for improvements. Please refer to the current edition of the Internet
Official Protocol Standards (STD 1) for the standardization state and
status of this protocol. Distribution of this memo is unlimited.
