The IESG has approved the following document: - 'MPLS Network Action (MNA) Post-Stack Header Specification' (draft-ietf-mpls-mna-ps-hdr-19.txt) as Proposed Standard This document is the product of the Multiprotocol Label Switching Working Group. The IESG contact persons are Gunter Van de Velde, Jim Guichard and Ketan Talaulikar. A URL of this Internet-Draft is: https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/draft-ietf-mpls-mna-ps-hdr/ Technical Summary This document defines the Post-Stack MPLS Network Action (MNA) Header Specification for carrying Network Actions encodings and Ancillary Data after the MPLS label stack, based on the In-Stack MNA Specification defined in "MPLS Network Action (MNA) Sub-Stack Specification." MPLS Network Actions can be used to influence packet forwarding decisions, carry additional Operations, Administration, and Maintenance information in the MPLS packet, or perform user- defined operations. This document follows the framework specified in RFC 9789. Working Group Summary As reported in the shepherd writeup, there was not a lot of enthusiam from the WG although rough consensus to move the documewnt forward. Document Quality There are no reported implementations. Shepherd report provides a lot of background for the document. Personnel The Document Shepherd for this document is Adrian Farrel.
