A Japanese Cultural Event
November 3 is “Culture Day” (文化の日 Bunka no Hi) in Japan, a national holiday held annually for the purpose of promoting culture and the arts. The IETF Social Event provides attendees with a chance to experience the food, tradition and entertainment culture of Japan first hand. Food stations and bars throughout the venue will offer a chance to try a variety of Japanese cuisine together with an assortment of local sake. Enjoy the chance to experience various aspects of the Japanese culture including the tea ceremony, which includes a demonstration of the preparation and presentation of matcha (抹茶), powdered green tea.
