Announcement of new IETF LLC Whistleblower Hotline

The IETF Administration LLC is pleased to announce the availability of a new whistleblower hotline for reporting all concerns regarding the conduct of the LLC board, staff or contractors.

This service is provided by an independent third-party, NAVEX Global, who assess each report to ensure that it is reported correctly into the LLC and kept confidential from the subject of the complaint.  For example, a report about the IETF Executive Director will go directly to the IETF LLC Board chair, while a report about the IETF LLC Board chair will go to an independent board director.

You can make a report using the online form or dedicated telephone number, with the online form providing a helpful categorisation of possible reports including suspected fraud, financial irregularities, inappropriate behaviour, unsafe working conditions, falsification of records, conflict of interest, etc.

The service is available at https://ietf.ethicspoint.com/ an IETF branded micro-site operated by the third party.


Please note that this is separate from the work of the ombudsteam as the IETF LLC Whistleblower Hotline is solely for reports regarding the LLC board, staff and contractors.
