I’ve been running for 25 years, and I don’t know what a “hash house tradition” is.  I’ve only ever heard running described as a hash on this email list…  I’m from Canada so maybe it isn’t a thing there?   I guess I’ll google it.

Hi, the Prague Hash House Harriers will run on Sunday Nov.5, at 2pm from the

Florenc metro entrance.   This is a social run in the hash house tradition.

(Not a race.  Some people will walk,  and you might even see dogs and baby strollers.  The drinking is also optional.  Everything is optional)



I've been persuaded to set the trail this weekend!  HA.



The trail will be less than 7km, ending about kilometer south of the IETF hotel at a pub.  The running likely will take less than 90 minutes, then there will be some drinking.  Should be able to get back well in time to shower and get to the 5pm Reception.

The pace is typically slower than 7min/km, with lots of go/stop ("intervals") opportunities.  Probably you'll go someplace you never thought to run.



If Sunday afternoon is not your thing, but you want to go out on Sunday morning, then I'll be out around 8:15-ish to actually set the trail using chalk.



If you are still in Prague on Nov.11, there is another trail dedicated to World Peace (through beer).

  The Hash House Harriers is an international group of non-competitive social

  running clubs. Enthusiasts refer to themselves as "hashers" and to the

  activity as "hashing". Although the parameters that each chapter sets may

  differ, in general, a hare sets a trail and is followed by the pack. At the

  run's conclusion, hashers typically eat, drink, and socialize. The group

  typically gets together to humourously note on-trail misbehaviour with

  tongue-in-cheek drinking songs and "down downs".
