 A Revised Internet-Draft is available from the on-line Internet-Drafts
directories. This draft is a work item of the AToM MIB Working Group of
 the IETF.

Title : Textual Conventions for MIB Modules Using Performance
History Based on 15 Minute Intervals
       Author(s) : K. Tesink
       Filename : draft-ietf-atommib-perfhistTC-01.txt
       Pages : 10
       Date : 10/29/1996

When designing a MIB module, it is often useful to define new types similar
to those defined in the SMI. In comparison to a type defined in the SMI,
each of these new types has a different name, a similar syntax, but a more
precise semantics. These newly defined types are termed textual
conventions, and are used for the convenience of humans reading the MIB
module. This is done through Textual Conventions as defined in RFC1903[1].
It is the purpose of this document to define the set of textual conventions
to be used when performance history based on 15 minute intervals is kept.
See for example the Trunk MIB modules [3][4][5].

This memo does not specify a standard for the Internet community.

Internet-Drafts are also available by mail.

Send a message to: mailserv@ds.internic.net. In the body type:
     "FILE /internet-drafts/draft-ietf-atommib-perfhistTC-01.txt".

NOTE: The mail server at ds.internic.net can return the document in
MIME-encoded form by using the "mpack" utility. To use this
feature, insert the command "ENCODING mime" before the "FILE"
command. To decode the response(s), you will need "munpack" or
a MIME-compliant mail reader. Different MIME-compliant mail readers
exhibit different behavior, especially when dealing with
"multipart" MIME messages (i.e., documents which have been split
up into multiple messages), so check your local documentation on
      how to manipulate these messages.

Below is the data which will enable a MIME compliant mail reader
implementation to automatically retrieve the ASCII version
of the Internet-Draft.
