DOCUMENT LIST: DOMAINS, MAIL, NETNEWS, NIR

-- Compiled by Olle Jarnefors, Royal Institute of Technology,
-- Sweden <ojarnef@admin.kth.se>, 7 July 1993

Inspired by Appendix A of Marshal T. Rose's book
_The Internet Message. Closing the Book with Electronic Mail_
(Prentice-Hall, 1993, ISBN 0-13-092941-7), I have compiled the
following list of freely available documents relevant for
electronic mail and networked information retrieval on the
Internet.

I would very much appreciate any additions or corrections of
this list. I'm acutely aware of the incomplete coverage of the
NIR field. Please write to <ojarnef@admin.kth.se>.

Sources given in the list are of four kinds:

-- Name starts with "1": administrative information about the
IETF, available by anonymous FTP, e.g. from cnri.reston.va.us.

-- Name starts with "d-": abbreviated file name for an Internet
Drafts, where "d-" = "draft-" and ".txt" should be appended,
available by anonymous FTP, e.g. from ds.internic.net (the
last two digits indicates the version of the Internet Draft).

-- RFCs, available in plain text form or, sometimes, PostScript
form by anonymous FTP, e.g. from nis.nsf.net (there is only
   one version of an RFC).

-- Other name: document available by anonymous FTP from
othello.admin.kth.se in directory pub/misc/ojarnef, in plain
text form only (the date in brackets indicates the version
of the document). Files are available in both compress:ed
(file name suffix: .Z) and uncompressed form.
