On 13 June a Protocol Action was made for the SMIv2 version
of the "Definitions of Managed Objects for the Ethernet-like
Interface Types" document.  It stated that the IESG had
approved it as a Standard.  This was wrong.  The IESG
approved the SMIv2 version of the document as a *Proposed
Standard* -- only the SMIv1 version is a Standard.  The SMIv1
and SMIv2 versions have already been published as RFCs 1623
and 1643, respectively.

A revised Protocol Action is attached below.

Technical Summary
	     
  This is the same MIB module as draft-ietf-ifmib-ethmib-smiv1-00.txt,
  but is written using the SNMPv2 SMI.
		  
Working Group Summary
		   
  There was no dissention.
		      
Protocol Quality
		       
  The SNMPv1 version of this MIB was approved by the IESG for publication
  as an Internet Standard.
