Subject: Last Call: Inter-Domain Policy Routing to Proposed Standard

The IESG has received a request from the Inter-Domain Policy Routing
Working Group to approve the publication of the Internet Drafts "An
Architecture for Inter-Domain Policy Routing"
<draft-ietf-idpr-architecture-04.txt, "Inter-Domain Policy Routing
Protocol Specification and Usage: Version 1"
<draft-ietf-idpr-specv1-00.txt>, and "Inter-Domain Policy Routing
Configuration and Usage" <draft-ietf-idpr-configuration-00.txt> jointly
as a Proposed Standard.

The objective of IDPR is to construct and maintain routes, between
source and destination administrative domains, that provide user
traffic with the requested services within the constraints stipulated
for the domains transited. The IDPR architecture is designed to
accommodate an internetwork containing tens of thousands of
administrative domains with heterogeneous service requirements and
restrictions.

The IESG plans to issue a recommendation in the next few weeks, and
solicits final comments on this elevation. Please send any comments to
the iesg@nri.reston.va.us, or ietf@isi.edu mailing lists by May 11th.

IESG Secretary
