The IESG has received a request from the IPLPDN working group to
approve the publication of the Internet Draft "Multiprotocol
Interconnect on X.25 and ISDN in the Packet Mode"
<draft-ietf-iplpdn-x25_isdn-03> as a Proposed Standard.

This document was written to correct several ambiguities in the
Internet Standard for IP/X.25 (RFC 877), aligning it with ISO/IEC
standards that have been written following RFC 877, and adding some
additional remarks based upon practical experience with the
specification over the 8 years since that RFC.

The IESG plans to issue a recommendation in the next few weeks, and
solicits final comments on this elevation. Please send any comments to
the iesg@nri.reston.va.us, or ietf@isi.edu mailing lists by May 11th.

IESG-Secretary
