Think about this: a certain company is now succesfully gaining customers (DEC customers!) by advertising their product as an _alternative_to_OSI_. People are paying cash on the barrelhead to _avoid_ OSI networking, even in situations where they would be getting it essentially for _free_. Deny it if you will, it is the truth whether anyone admits it or not! Perhaps the attitudes shown here are the reason. Incidentally, I find that I have to use the full name "Microsoft Word" rather than "Word" to be clearly understood by my users, who are not computerphiles but simply tool-users. -Charlie
