A New Internet-Draft is available from the on-line Internet-Drafts
directories. This draft is a work item of the Network Information Services
Infrastructure Working Group of the IETF.

Title : Network Information Center Guidelines
       Author(s) : A. Marine
       Filename : draft-ietf-nisi-nicdoc-00.txt
       Pages : 92
       Date : 09/20/1994

This document is designed to provide a definition of and guidelines for
providing basic Network Information Center (NIC) information services. It
does not address the registration services that many NICs also perform.

This document was originally written and produced by the Federal Systems
Group of Sterling Software, Inc. under contract NAS2-13210 for the National
Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). Both of these entities have
granted permission for this document to be considered by the Network
Information Services Infrastructure (NISI) working group of the User
Services Area of the IETF as a possible foundation document to serve as an
update to RFC 1302/FYI 12.

Send a message to: mailserv@ds.internic.net. In the body type:
     "FILE /internet-drafts/draft-ietf-nisi-nicdoc-00.txt".

NOTE: The mail server at ds.internic.net can return the document in
MIME-encoded form by using the "mpack" utility. To use this
feature, insert the command "ENCODING mime" before the "FILE"
command. To decode the response(s), you will need "munpack" or
a MIME-compliant mail reader. Different MIME-compliant mail readers
exhibit different behavior, especially when dealing with
"multipart" MIME messages (i.e., documents which have been split
up into multiple messages), so check your local documentation on
      how to manipulate these messages.

For questions, please mail to Internet-Drafts@cnri.reston.va.us.

Below is the data which will enable a MIME compliant mail reader
implementation to automatically retrieve the ASCII version
of the Internet-Draft.
