The IESG has received a request from the Interfaces MIB Working Group to consider <draft-ietf-ifmib-evolution-06.txt> "Evolution of the Interfaces Group of MIB-II" for the status of Proposed Standard. As part of this effort, RFC1229 "Extensions to the Generic-Interface MIB" wiill move to Historic status as the Internet-Draft supercedes it. The IESG plans to make a decision in the next few weeks, and solicits final comments on this action. Please send any comments to the iesg@cnri.reston.va.us, or ietf@cnri.reston.va.us mailing lists by December 21, 1993. IESG Secretary
