A new Request for Comments is now available in online RFC libraries.

Note: This is a PostScript version of RFC 1714.  The ASCII version of
this RFC is the primary reference version.  The PostScript version is
secondary.  For descriptive purposes, the PostScript version may
contain typographic variations (italics, boldface, etc.), figures, and
other features that promote readability and understanding.

This memo describes version 1.0 of the client/server interaction of
RWhois.  RWhois provides a distributed system for the display of
hierarchical information.  This system is hierarchical by design,
allowing for the reduction of a query, and the referral of the user
closer to the maintainer of the information.

This memo provides information for the Internet community.  This memo
does not specify an Internet standard of any kind.  Distribution of
this memo is unlimited.

This announcement is sent to the IETF list and the RFC-DIST list.
Requests to be added to or deleted from the IETF distribution list
should be sent to IETF-REQUEST@CNRI.RESTON.VA.US.  Requests to be
