The IESG has received a request from the Authenticated Firewall
Traversal Working Group to consider the following two Internet-Drafts
for the status of Proposed Standard:

 1. SOCKS Protocol Version 5
	<draft-ietf-aft-socks-protocol-v5-05.txt>

 2. Username/Password Authentication for SOCKS V5
	<draft-ietf-aft-username-password-01.txt>


The IESG plans to make a decision in the next few weeks, and solicits
final comments on this action. Please send any comments to the
iesg@cnri.reston.va.us or ietf@cnri.reston.va.us mailing lists by
December 12, 1995.
