This memo describes the extensions to OSPF required to add digital 
signature authentication to Link State data.  The augmented design is 
backward compatible with standard OSPF V2 [3].  Routers supporting digital 
signatures will be able to use the authenticated routing information as an 
IP TOS or by source routing.
