 A Revised Internet-Draft is available from the on-line Internet-Drafts
directories. This draft is a work item of the Roaming Operations Working
 Group of the IETF.

Title : The Roaming Relationship (REL) Resource Record
                   in the DNS

This document describes the use of the Roaming Relationship (REL) record in
the DNS for the description of roaming relationships. In the absence of DNS
security, REL resource records may be used for determining the existence of
a roaming relationship path between the local ISP and the user's home
domain, as well as the location of an appropriate accounting agent.
However, without DNS security, hierarchical authentication routing must be
used in order to validate the roaming relationship path. When DNS security
is implemented, the roaming relationship path is authenticated via digital
signatures, and as a result, additional services may be provided, such as
non-repudiation of proxied authentications and signed receipts for
accounting record transfers.

Send a message to: mailserv@ds.internic.net. In the body type:
     "FILE /internet-drafts/draft-ietf-roamops-dnsrr-02.txt".

NOTE: The mail server at ds.internic.net can return the document in
MIME-encoded form by using the "mpack" utility. To use this
feature, insert the command "ENCODING mime" before the "FILE"
command. To decode the response(s), you will need "munpack" or
a MIME-compliant mail reader. Different MIME-compliant mail readers
exhibit different behavior, especially when dealing with
"multipart" MIME messages (i.e., documents which have been split
up into multiple messages), so check your local documentation on
      how to manipulate these messages.

Below is the data which will enable a MIME compliant mail reader
implementation to automatically retrieve the ASCII version
of the Internet-Draft.
