The IESG has approved the Internet-Draft "Definitions of Managed
Objects for the SONET/SDH Interface Type"
<draft-ietf-atommib-sonet-04.txt> as a Proposed Standard. This document
is the product of the ATM MIB Working Group. The IESG contact person is
Marshall T. Rose.


Technical Summary

This draft defines an experimental portion of the Management
Information Base (MIB) for use with network management protocols in
TCP/IP-based internets.  In particular, it defines objects for managing
Synchronous Optical Network/Synchronous Digital Hierarchy (SONET/SDH)
objects.  This document is a companion document with Definitions of
Managed Objects for the DS1/E1 and DS3/E3 Interface Types, RFC 1406 and
1407.

There were no contentious issues in the WG.
