  The IESG has approved the following Internet-Drafts:

 1. SNMPv2 Management Information Base for the Internet Protocol
	<draft-ietf-snmpv2-ip-ds-03.txt>

 2. SNMPv2 Management Information Base for the Transmission Control
    Protocol <draft-ietf-snmpv2-tcp-ds-03.txt>

 3. SNMPv2 Management Information Base for the User Datagram Protocol
	<draft-ietf-snmpv2-udp-ds-03.txt>

  as Proposed Standards. These document are the product of the SNMP
  Version 2 Working Group. The IESG contact person is Deirdre Kostick.

Technical Summary

  These documents define the set of managed objects for the Internet
  Protocol, Transmission Control Protocol, and User Datagram Protocol.
  These objects were formerly defined in MIB II using the SNMPv1 SMI;
  these documents define the IP, TCP, and UDP objects using the SNMPv2
  SMI.

Working Group Summary

  These three documents reflect only a change in the version of the
  SMI. The comments received during last call questioned why these
  documents were being released as Proposed, versus Draft Standard.
  There were no comments on the technical content.

Protocol Quality

  These documents were reviewed for the IESG by Deirdre Kostick.

Note to RFC Editor:

  Please add the following as an IESG Note:

       The IP, UDP, and TCP MIB modules currently support only IPv4.
       These three modules use the IpAddress type defined as an OCTET
       STRING of length 4 to represent the IPv4 32-bit internet
       addresses. (See RFC1902, SMI for SNMPv2.) They do not support
       the new 128-bit IPv6 internet addresses.
