A New Internet-Draft is available from the on-line Internet-Drafts
directories. This draft is a work item of the IPNG Working Group of the
IETF.

Title : IPv6 Testing Address Allocation
       Author(s) : R. Hinden, J. Postel
       Filename : draft-ietf-ipngwg-test-addr-alloc-00.txt
       Pages : 5
       Date : 08/31/1995

This document describes an allocation plan for IPv6 addresses to be used in
testing IPv6 prototype software. These addresses are temporary and will be
reclaimed in the future. Any IPv6 system using these addresses will have
to renumber at some time in the future. These addresses will not to be
routable in the Internet other than for IPv6 testing.

The addresses described in this document are consistent with the IPv6
Addressing Architecture [ARCH]. They may be assigned to nodes manually,
with IPv6 Auto Address Allocation [AUTO], or with DHCP for IPv6 [DHCPv6].

Send a message to: mailserv@ds.internic.net. In the body type:
     "FILE /internet-drafts/draft-ietf-ipngwg-test-addr-alloc-00.txt".

NOTE: The mail server at ds.internic.net can return the document in
MIME-encoded form by using the "mpack" utility. To use this
feature, insert the command "ENCODING mime" before the "FILE"
command. To decode the response(s), you will need "munpack" or
a MIME-compliant mail reader. Different MIME-compliant mail readers
exhibit different behavior, especially when dealing with
"multipart" MIME messages (i.e., documents which have been split
up into multiple messages), so check your local documentation on
      how to manipulate these messages.

For questions, please mail to Internet-Drafts@cnri.reston.va.us.

Below is the data which will enable a MIME compliant mail reader
implementation to automatically retrieve the ASCII version
of the Internet-Draft.
