The IESG has approved the following Internet-Drafts:

 Network Services Monitoring MIB <draft-ietf-madman-networkmib-07.txt>
 Mail Monitoring MIB <draft-ietf-madman-mtamib-08.txt>
 X.500 Directory Monitoring MIB <draft-ietf-madman-dsa-mib-08.txt>

as Proposed Standards. These documents are the product of the Mail and
Directory Management Working Group. The IESG contact person is Marshall
Rose.

Technical Summary

The first document provides a framework MIB for managing network
service applications. The second and third documents build on this
framework to provide management for e-mail relays and X.500 directory
servers.

Working Group Summary

There were no unresolved issues or contentious activity in the working
group.

Protocol Quality

The NM Area Directorate has reviewed the documents and found them to be
consistent with the Internet-standard Management Framework.

Notes to the RFC editor (upon publication)

1. Please contact the NM AD to discuss new values for the application,
mtaMIB, and dsaMIB OIDs (moving them from experimental).
