A New Internet Draft is available from the on-line Internet-Drafts
directories. This draft is a work item of the TELNET Working Group of
the IETF.

       Title : Telnet Environment Option
       Author(s) : S. Alexander
       Filename : draft-ietf-telnet-envmnt-option-00.txt
       Pages : 7

This document specifies a mechanism for passing environment
information between a telnet client and server. Use of this mechanism
enables a telnet user to propagate configuration information to a
remote host when connecting.

This document corrects some errors in RFC 1408. RFC 1408 incorrectly
enumerates the values of VAR and VALUE, and is also missing some IAC
SE sequences from examples.
This document is intended to replace RFC 1408 as a Proposed Standard.
