A Revised Internet-Draft is available from the on-line Internet-Drafts
directories. This draft is a work item of the IPNG Working Group of the
IETF.

Title : A Method for the Transmission of IPv6 Packets
                   over FDDI Networks
       Author(s) : M. Crawford
       Filename : draft-ietf-ipngwg-fddi-ntwrks-04.txt
       Pages : 6
       Date : 05/22/1996

This memo specifies the MTU and frame format for transmission of IPv6
[IPV6] packets on FDDI networks, including a method for MTU determination
in the presence of 802.1d bridges to other media. It also specifies the
method of forming IPv6 link-local addresses on FDDI networks and the
content of the Source/Target Link-layer Address option used the the Router
Solicitation, Router Advertisement, Neighbor Solicitation, and Neighbor
Advertisement messages described in [DISC], when those messages are
transmitted on an FDDI network.

Send a message to: mailserv@ds.internic.net. In the body type:
     "FILE /internet-drafts/draft-ietf-ipngwg-fddi-ntwrks-04.txt".

NOTE: The mail server at ds.internic.net can return the document in
MIME-encoded form by using the "mpack" utility. To use this
feature, insert the command "ENCODING mime" before the "FILE"
command. To decode the response(s), you will need "munpack" or
a MIME-compliant mail reader. Different MIME-compliant mail readers
exhibit different behavior, especially when dealing with
"multipart" MIME messages (i.e., documents which have been split
up into multiple messages), so check your local documentation on
      how to manipulate these messages.

For questions, please mail to Internet-Drafts@cnri.reston.va.us.

Below is the data which will enable a MIME compliant mail reader
implementation to automatically retrieve the ASCII version
of the Internet-Draft.
