During its meeting at Interop '92 last week, the IAB accepted the following recommendations from the IESG. Ethernet MIB to Draft Standard 'The IESG recommends to the IAB that the Internet Draft "Definitions of Managed Objects for the Ethernet-like Interface Types" <draft-ietf-ethermib-objectsv2-02.txt> be published as a Draft Standard. A companion document "Implementation Notes and Experience for The Internet Ethernet MIB" <draft-ietf-ethermib-implexp-00.txt> should be published as an informational document. The Draft Standard version of the Ethernet MIB was developed by the Ethernet MIB Working Group of the IETF. The Proposed Standard version of this MIB was published as RFC 1284 in December of 1991. Chuck Davin, the Network Management Area Director is the IESG Point of Contact for this protocol.' DECnet Phase IV Control Protocol to Proposed Standard 'The IESG recommends to the IAB that the Internet Draft "The PPP DECnet Phase IV Control Protocol (DNCP)" <draft-ietf-pppext-decnet-03.txt> be published as a Proposed Standard. This document is the product of the PPP Extensions Working Group of the IETF. The IESG Area Director responsible for the review of this protocol is Phil Almquist.' SNMP MIB extension for LAPB to Proposed Stnadard 'The IESG recommends that the Internet Draft "SNMP MIB extension for LAPB" <draft-ietf-x25mib-lapbmib-05.txt> be published as a Proposed Standard. This document is the product of the X25MIB Working Group of the IETF. The IESG Area Director responsible for the review of this protocol is Chuck Davin.' PPP OSI Network Layer Control Protocol (OSINLCP) to Proposed Standard PPP AppleTalk Control Protocol (ATCP) to Proposed Standard 'The IESG recommends to the IAB that the Internet Draft "The PPP OSI Network Layer Control Protocol (OSINLCP)" <draft-ietf-pppext-osinlcp-02.txt> and the Internet Draft "The PPP AppleTalk Control Protocol (ATCP))" <draft-ietf-pppext-appletalk-03.txt> be published as Proposed Standards. These documents are the product of the Point-to-Point Protocol Extensions Working Group. The IESG contact person is Philip Almquist.' Concise MIB Definitions to Internet Standard, part of STD-016. 'The IESG recommends that RFC 1212, "Concise MIB Definitions" be elevated to Standard Status. This protocol is an addendum to the Internet SMI and should be considered part of that same standard. This document should be assigned the same requirement level as the SMI itself, Recommended. The IESG Area Director responsible for this protocol is Chuck Davin <Davin@thumper.bellcore.com>.'
