Hello ippm,

draft-ietf-ippm-tcp-throughput-tm-11.txt has been published and has incorporated changes from an independent review by the tcpm working group and Lars.

Thanks to Lars, Richard Scheffenegger, and Alexander for their time and excellent comments

The most significant changes to the draft has been in areas of TCP theory; the core test methodology has remained essentially the same.

Below is a high level summary of key enhancements:

 * The definition of "Ideal TCP Window" has been revised to reflect the combination of send / receive buffer sizes / TCP RWND that attribute to achievable TCP throughput (and to reference the minimum required versus ideal)
 * Specified more precisely that throughput is to be measured in the TCP Equilibrium state
 * A new section was added "High Performance Network Options", which specifies how to tune hosts for cases where the network outperforms the client/server hosts

Thanks in advance for any review / additional comments.

Barry
