This is an informal IPS Working Group Last Call on the
iSCSI Command Ordering draft:

Title : SCSI Command Ordering Considerations with iSCSI
Authors	: Mallikarjun Chadalapaka, Rob Elliott
	Filename	: draft-ietf-ips-command-ordering-00.txt

This draft is proposed for publication as an Informational RFC.
This WG Last Call will close on Friday, September 5th. Editorial
comments should be sent directly to the primary author, Mallikarjun
Chadalapaka <cbm@rose.hp.com> ; technical comments should be
posted to this list.

This draft is further explanation of the requirements and implications
of requirements for command ordering in the main iSCSI draft; with the
possible exception of the ASC/ASCQ for terminated commands noted below,
no changes are being made to the iSCSI specification - if anyone finds
any changes or even text that looks like a change, *please* post it to
the list, as the primary virtue of this draft is intended to be clarity.

One place where something that may appear to be a change occurs
in this draft is that paragraph b) of Section 5 indicates that the
ASC/ASCQ value for commands terminated by an iSCSI connection failure
is 47h/7Fh ("SOME COMMANDS CLEARED BY ISCSI PROTOCOL EVENT").
This value was defined for this purpose by T10 subsequent to approval
of the iSCSI specification, and is already required by the iSCSI
specification's reference to SCSI specifications at the end of
section 6.5. If there is no objection on the list, this ASC/ASCQ
value will be added to the iSCSI specification in Section 6.5 for
clarity there.

Thanks,
--David
