Hello all, David and I would like to announce IPS working group last call on the iSCSI Name Extension Draft. This draft defines a new iSCSI node name type using the "Network Address Authority" (NAA) format used by Fibre Channel for World Wide Names. The last call period will last two weeks, concluding on Monday, February 9th at 8am EST. Please post technical comments to the mailing list. Editorial comments may be posted to the mailing list or directed to the authors, with a copy to the chairs. Summary information: Draft: NAA naming format for iSCSI Node Names URL: http://www.ietf.org/internet-drafts/draft-ietf-ips-iscsi-name-ext-02.txt Authors: Marjorie Krueger (marjorie.krueger@hp.com) Mallikarjun Chadalapaka (cbm@rose.hp.com) Rob Elliott (elliott@hp.com) Last Call Ends: February 9th at 8am EST Thank you, Elizabeth Rodriguez and David Black IPS co-chairs -----Original Message----- From: Internet-Drafts@ietf.org [mailto:Internet-Drafts@ietf.org] Sent: Friday, January 23, 2004 7:23 AM Cc: ips@ietf.org Subject: [Ips] I-D ACTION:draft-ietf-ips-iscsi-name-ext-02.txt A New Internet-Draft is available from the on-line Internet-Drafts directories. This draft is a work item of the IP Storage Working Group of the IETF. Title : NAA naming format for iSCSI Node Names Author(s) : R. Elliott, M. Krueger, M. Chadalapaka Filename : draft-ietf-ips-iscsi-name-ext-02.txt Pages : 6 Date : 2004-1-22 iSCSI is a SCSI transport protocol that maps the SCSI family of protocols onto TCP/IP. This document defines an additional iSCSI node name type format to enable use of the 'Network Address Authority' (NAA) world wide naming format used by ANSI T11 Fibre Channel (FC) protocols. A URL for this Internet-Draft is: http://www.ietf.org/internet-drafts/draft-ietf-ips-iscsi-name-ext-02.txt To remove yourself from the IETF Announcement list, send a message to ietf-announce-request with the word unsubscribe in the body of the message. Internet-Drafts are also available by anonymous FTP. Login with the username "anonymous" and a password of your e-mail address. After logging in, type "cd internet-drafts" and then "get draft-ietf-ips-iscsi-name-ext-02.txt". A list of Internet-Drafts directories can be found in http://www.ietf.org/shadow.html or ftp://ftp.ietf.org/ietf/1shadow-sites.txt Internet-Drafts can also be obtained by e-mail. Send a message to: mailserv@ietf.org. In the body type: "FILE /internet-drafts/draft-ietf-ips-iscsi-name-ext-02.txt". NOTE: The mail server at ietf.org can return the document in MIME-encoded form by using the "mpack" utility. To use this feature, insert the command "ENCODING mime" before the "FILE" command. To decode the response(s), you will need "munpack" or a MIME-compliant mail reader. Different MIME-compliant mail readers exhibit different behavior, especially when dealing with "multipart" MIME messages (i.e. documents which have been split up into multiple messages), so check your local documentation on how to manipulate these messages. Below is the data which will enable a MIME compliant mail reader implementation to automatically retrieve the ASCII version of the Internet-Draft. _______________________________________________ Ips mailing list Ips@ietf.org https://www1.ietf.org/mailman/listinfo/ips
