If anything, I think the possible confusion was introduced when as a 
follow-up to IETF LC the possible meanings of "processing" were spelled 
out along "processed". e.g., there's not such possibility of confusion 
in RFC2460 or RFC1883.  (Well, other than the fact that folks were 
claiming that "processed" might not include e,g, "insertion" (!) ;-) )
