Ah, I'm talking about when there are multiple clients.   This probably isn't an issue if you have only one, at least for the most part.   But e.g. a server-side automatic mail sorter would count as a client, and might create a great deal of activity.   A personal task manager might as well.

And yes, my concern is about downloads, not uploads.
