https://www.rfc-editor.org/errata/eid5218 Hi, This report was correct in 2017. However, ECMAScript 2019 changed JS syntax to allow the characters mentioned in the report. From the ECMA-262 changelog: "Updated syntax included optional catch binding parameters and allowing U+2028 (LINE SEPARATOR) and U+2029 (PARAGRAPH SEPARATOR) in string literals to align with JSON." It seems about 94% of browsers worldwide allow these characters in JS string literals now, and the last major browsers to ship without this change are from 2018. So, I think we can reject this one, as the proposed change will become increasingly incorrect. thanks, Rob
