Colleagues,

Although we currently have a face to face session in Taipei to discuss VPN4DC  I wasn't planning on using any of that time to provide a more general L3VPN update so please find below a status update on the current status of work within L3VPN (ahead of IETF for once).

Ben

1. DRAFTS PUBLISHED

	RFC 6368 (draft-ietf-l3vpn-ibgp).

2. DRAFTS IN THE RFC EDITOR QUEUE

	A. draft-ietf-l3vpn-2547bis-mcast

The referenced drafts that were holding this up in the RFC Editor queue have now been approved for publication and it is just awaiting processing & publication.

	B. draft-ietf-l3vpn-2547bis-mcast-bgp

As this was held up by a reference to draft-ietf-l3vpn-2547bis-mcast it is now just awaiting processing and publishing.

	C. draft-ietf-l3vpn-mvpn-considerations

As this was held up by references to draft-ietf-l3vpn-2547bis-mcast & draft-ietf-l3vpn-2547bis-mcast-bgp it is now just awaiting processing and publishing.

	D. draft-ietf-l3vpn-mvpn-spmsi-joins

As this was held up by a reference to draft-ietf-l3vpn-2547bis-mcast it is now just awaiting processing and publishing.

	E. draft-ietf-l3vpn-mvpn-infra-addrs

As this was held up by references to draft-ietf-l3vpn-2547bis-mcast & draft-ietf-l3vpn-2547bis-mcast-bgp it is now just awaiting processing and publishing.

	F. draft-ietf-l3vpn-ospfv3-pece

Publication has been requested for this draft and it is awaiting IESG approval.

3. DRAFT IN OR PAST WG LAST CALL

None.

4. ACTIVE WG DRAFTS

	A. draft-ietf-l3vpn-acceptown-community

No change since IETF79. The authors believe the draft is complete but would prefer to wait for an implementation to be produced before proceeding to WG LC.

	B. draft-ietf-l3vpn-mvpn-bidir

This was accepted as a WG draft on 5th August 2011.

	C. draft-ietf-l3vpn-mvpn-wildcards

This was accepted as a WG draft on 17th September 2011.


5. EXPIRED DRAFTS

None.

6. OTHER WG WORK / ISSUES / ETC.

	draft-rosen-l3vpn-mvpn-extranet & draft-raggarwa-l3vpn-bgp-mvpn-extranet

No change since IETF81. The authors are still working to merge these two drafts into a single combined draft and following the merge we will poll the WG to judge consensus to adopt the merged draft as a WG draft.
