Hi,

Excuse me if my question is not in scope.

What are the characteristics of the LoRa coverage of the Orange operator
in France?

Where are situated the LoRa Orange base stations for outdoors coverage?

What are the frequencies used?

I am asking being triggered by a friend who acquired an Invoxia GPS
tracker to be used in cars; it claims to use no SIM card and to rely on
LoRA and Sigfox to send its position to a server in the Internet.

I have some doubts about how it works, how the coverage err, covers, and
ultimately how much is the car really protected. I need to clarify.

I found that the LoRa frequencies are in the range 862-870 MHz, by
specification.
https://www.anfr.fr/fileadmin/mediatheque/documents/IoT/Orange_Consultation_ARCEP-ANFR_IoT-Fr%C3%A9quences.pdf

I searched several public descriptions of the 2G..5G frequencies used in
some important base stations deployments in France (cartoradio.fr), but
none of them seems to tell the 862-870MHz of LoRa. They do tell other
frequencies used for 2G (e.g. 889.9-898.6 MHz) and LTE 700 (e.g. 763-773
MHz or 708-718 MHz)

I found a Lora Orange coverage map in France. But it does not say where
the LoRa base stations are situated; it does not center the various
coverage areas into some central points. It looks more like a terrain
analysis, rather than an EM coverage.
