Late last week Thomas (and others) submitted
draft-clausen-manet-olsrv2-fmt-00. First, I'd like to stay great job
to those involved in writing it up. It looks great and I know the
amount of effort that must have gone into it.

I'm excited to start looking at it in the context of DYMO and I know
the other DYMO people are too.

I have a few initial comments/suggestions/questions about the ID not
specific to DYMO.

I think that originator address should be changed to originator ID.

Should the packet sequence number be originator or interface specific?
>From the ID, it seems like interface. Can you please explain this
decision?

In the <addr-block> definition it states "with which the originator
has a relationship". For dymo, intermediate nodes might append
information. Is the originator the creator of the message or the node
transmitting the message? I think this is just a terminology issue.

I think duplicate elimination should be changed to duplicate detection.

I noticed the index-start and index-stop are always there even for
single index tlvs. For msg-tlvs these aren't really needed. What was
the motivation of always including these two fields?

Does the example provided on page 26 require a packet-header? Or is
this simply included because in general OLSRv1/2 does always include
the packet header?

Thomas et. al., I want to say again. Great job. I'm really excited
about the possibilities created by utilizing a common format.

Ian
