Hi Jean,

I spoke with David Perkins last week, he stated he would be willing to place his tools (smicng) in github sans license checking code  if there is still an interest in continuing to use them. The other tool used to validate SMIv2 syntax was smilint, part of libsmi package https://www.ibr.cs.tu-bs.de/projects/libsmi/people.html.
