Hi all,

The draft is now officially available. As I presented in the meeting last
week, all comments should be received and WG discussion completed by this
Friday, Nov. 29th, so comments should ideally be submitted early this week.

A summary of the changes is available in the thread (which also provides a
link to the word version with changes marked):
http://www1.ietf.org/mail-archive/working-groups/midcom/current/msg02807.htm
l

The plan is to get any updates made to the document and the updated document
submitted by Friday, Dec. 6th and made available to the IESG the week of
Dec. 8th.

Regards,
Mary.

A New Internet-Draft is available from the on-line Internet-Drafts
directories.
This draft is a work item of the Middlebox Communication Working Group of
the IETF.

Title : Middlebox Communications (MIDCOM) Protocol
Evaluation
	Author(s)	: M. Barnes
	Filename	: draft-ietf-midcom-protocol-eval-06.txt
	Pages : 35
	Date : 2002-11-21

This document provides an evaluation of the applicability of SNMP,
RSIP, MEGACO, DIAMETER and COPS as the MIDCOM protocol. A summary
of each of the proposed protocols against the MIDCOM requirements
and MIDCOM framework is provided. Compliancy of each of the
protocols against each requirement is detailed. A conclusion
summarizes how each of the protocols fares in the evaluation.

A URL for this Internet-Draft is:

To remove yourself from the IETF Announcement list, send a message to
ietf-announce-request with the word unsubscribe in the body of the message.

Internet-Drafts are also available by anonymous FTP. Login with the username
"anonymous" and a password of your e-mail address. After logging in,
type "cd internet-drafts" and then
	"get draft-ietf-midcom-protocol-eval-06.txt".

A list of Internet-Drafts directories can be found in
http://www.ietf.org/shadow.html
or ftp://ftp.ietf.org/ietf/1shadow-sites.txt

Internet-Drafts can also be obtained by e-mail.

Send a message to:
	mailserv@ietf.org.
In the body type:
	"FILE /internet-drafts/draft-ietf-midcom-protocol-eval-06.txt".

NOTE:	The mail server at ietf.org can return the document in
MIME-encoded form by using the "mpack" utility. To use this
feature, insert the command "ENCODING mime" before the "FILE"
command. To decode the response(s), you will need "munpack" or
a MIME-compliant mail reader. Different MIME-compliant mail readers
exhibit different behavior, especially when dealing with
"multipart" MIME messages (i.e. documents which have been split
up into multiple messages), so check your local documentation on
	how to manipulate these messages.

Below is the data which will enable a MIME compliant mail reader
implementation to automatically retrieve the ASCII version of the
Internet-Draft.
