I do not remember anyone to dislike the dns method. 
I assume you are referring to the MoS discovery using DNS (instead of dns in general). I got comments from Olafur Gudmundsson, which I addressed in the new version of the draft and also from Peter Koch. Most of Peter comments were not specific enough to implement, however I removed the fallback mechanism.
