Fleming,

thanks for providing this collection of use case for the DELETE and
REPLACE operators. 
I think it clearly shows that at the DELETE operator provides an
essential capability for the core capability negotiation mechanism. 

I support your conclusion that the REPLACE operator is an optimization
to the DELETE operator
and that it shows most of its benefits with media capabilities. 
Therefore removing the REPLACE operator from the core spec (and possibly
moving it into the media capabilities extension) makes a lot of sense to
me in simplifying the core spec.

I hope that a draft-06 witout the REPLACE operator will be ready for
last call.
It is complete for the purpose of negotiation attribute capabilities and
we should get it done now.
