The IAB is considering to close the Model-T program and continuing the work by other means.

We’d like to thank everyone involved in the discussion and publication of a number of related documents. And while the program may be closed, the topic has been important and continues to be, so further discussion would be needed. Perhaps an even wider set of participants is needed for this problem than was included in the program.

Ways for the discussion to continue include:

- Discussion in architecture-discuss, e.g., on any architectural implications of evolving threats.

- Adoption of documents on principles or general protocol design considerations to be published in the IAB stream. Some candidate documents have been identified and are currently discussed.

- Identifying new types of emerging threats, trends, and surveys of attacks is important research work.

- Changes to IETF policies regarding security considerations is an IETF matter.

Comments are appreciated.

Jari for the IAB
