It is useful to read also your own documents at times :-)

This was written at a time when we felt like we needed to list everything that we had observed. Going forward, particularly thinking about some day publishing something, it might actually be helpful to narrow this down a bit, as I also commented on some of the other drafts. We’ve already done some of that with the spin-off documents on 3552 and 7258 additions but could certainly do more...

More specifically, this draft has five main components:

- attack examples and types/classes
- analysis that leads to principles and high-level guidelines
- checklist for protocol designers
- areas for further study
- conclusions

It feels like a narrowed-down documentation of some attack classes would be sufficient to justify a crisper analysis and selected high-level-guidelines and a couple of checklist items.

The rest of the checklist and areas could be put to other documents.
