Dear Behcet, all
I think you are referring to http://tools.ietf.org/id/draft-deng-multimob-pmip6-requirement-01.txt with special emphasis on the mentioned clarification of basics of mobile multicast and focussing on the deployment problems - including traffic arguments - we want to solve ... and that we should make up a separate draft on potential optimizations, right?
Best regards,
Dirk

Subject: Re: [multimob] Informal Meeting in San Francisco

I don't know if I can participate in the scheduled informal meeting.

Anyway, I updated two drafts describing PIMP multicast support [1] and
IGMP/MLD extensions [2] with consideration of various necessary
scenarios.
[1] draft-asaeda-multimob-pmip6-extension-01.txt
[2] draft-asaeda-multimob-igmp-mld-mobility-extensions-02.txt

I'd like to encourage people to read these drafts. I'm happy to hear
your opinions for them.

In the meeting, I hope people would share the information what kinds
of issues are in multicast support in mobility by clarifying the
existing problems and get concensus for the work. This should be the
first step (otherwise the meeting will keep repeating the same
arguments..).
My wish is then the discussion of the plan for improvement of two
requirement drafts.

[behcet] We are looking for volunteers for the requirements drafts.
PMIPv6 requirements draft needs a major update based on the discussions in Minneapolis BoF.
More details to be discussed at the informal meeting.

It would be great if the above drafts become
good inputs for the solutions.

Regards,

Hitoshi Asaeda
