After IETF 95, a number of NETCONF contributors began weekly meetings related to Event and YANG Datastore Subscriptions. The goal was to scope and frame adoptable drafts. A summarized context<http://www.voit.org/IETF/Subscriptions-NETCONF-Interim-18May2016.ppt> around these drafts were presented at the May 18th NETCONF interim.

Over the last couple days, we have posted the following:

Subscriptions for Event Notifications (RFC5277bis)

draft-gonzalez-netconf-5277bis<https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/draft-gonzalez-netconf-5277bis/>

NETCONF Transport for Event Notifications

draft-gonzalez-netconf-event-notifications<https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/draft-gonzalez-netconf-event-notifications/>

RESTCONF & HTTP Transport for Event Notifications

draft-voit-netconf-restconf-notif<https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/draft-voit-netconf-restconf-notif/>

We are hoping for your review and feedback. Please note the open issues list which exist in the appendices of each document. There still is plenty of work to do.

I would like to thank people attending the subteam's weekly calls who have provided excellent comments and suggestions. These include Andy Bierman, Sharon Chisholm, Alex Clemm, Yan Gang, Einar Nilsen-Nygaard, Alberto Gonzalez Prieto, Peipei Guo, Susan Hares, Tim Jenkins, Balazs Lengyel, Ambika Prasad Tripathy, Hector Trevino, Kent Watsen, and Guangying Zheng.

On behalf of the subteam,

Eric Voit

P.S.: Expect a corresponding update to the (already adopted) YANG Datastore Push draft in a couple days
